More fun mail arrived a last week. Here's a picture of all of the wonderful package I received from Leah in Ontario through the Pink Stitches Love Day Swap sponsored by Bonnie.
Everything was in this adorabe draw string bag! I absolutely love that heart button fabric!
The bag was loaded with stuff, including a darling white apron with heart pockets, lots of chocolate, cute package of trims, cupcake picks & liners, clips, magnets, fun straws and a bunch of other fun stuff.
Thank you Leah, it was so much fun to be your partner and I hope we will continue to keep in touch!

Moda's Flirt Zipper Pouch
Valentine's Day is just a month away. Here's a zipper pouch I made for my PTA secret sister. Her favorite color is turquoise so I thought this Moda Fabric from the Flirt collection by Sandy Gervais was a nice choice for her since it was kinda Valentine's Day theme but also had her favorite color in it.
I embroidered with the Bella font from Embroidery Boutique. I think it turned out pretty cute and I am looking forward to giving it to her this week.

Moving on to Hair Stuff...
Since there are only so many shirts, towels, bags and blankets I can make for our daughter, I have started to explore other 'embroidering' opportunities. I've been purchasing hair stitch designs from my favorite designer in Australia for a while, but had not taken the time to try them out. Well, I am hooked!
These are so fun, easy, and most of all FAST. The best thing is that I can make a bunch in one hoop. Here is my first attempt at a Valentine design.
There are many designs and you can attach them to fabric covered barrettes. The possibilities are truly endless.

Miss M loved it and now she wants one to match every outfit! Now, I have plenty to do! Thanks for stopping by.

Getting ready for Valentine's Day
I can't believe Valentine's Day is already around the corner. There are so many cute heart embroidery and applique designs out there that I am finding myself buying everything I see. I just got this design from one of my favorite designers in Australia and had to make Micaela a sweatshirt.
Hope you are staying warm, thanks for stopping by!

Love Bubbles
These are the Love Bubbles Micaela will not be giving to her friends at her preschool Valentine's Day party tomorrow. Unfortunately tomorrow has been declared a snow day. The Dallas Fort Worth area has gotten more than 6 inches of snow, so basically everything has shut down. We actually got these done early, for once I am was not burning the midnight oil making treats the night before. All along, I could have waited an extra few days. Oh well... Micaela will enjoy handing these out on Monday.
Nothing to these, (I am all about simplicity these days)....just a strip of scrapbook paper around the bottle and a tag generated on the computer punched out with the Key Tag punch from Stampin' Up! We did have to reinforce the tag and paper with clear tape because not even red stick strip would keep the tags on the bottles. Hope you are staying warm!

Valentine Day Treats
These are the Valentine treats Micaela and I made for her classmates at both schools.
For the Spanish school we wrapped PINK Little Debbie rice crispy treats with a heart patterned scrapbook paper, added a sheer ribbon bow and a simple little label I did on the computer.

For the church school, we did little canisters of Play-Doh. We wrapped the cans with the same heart patterned scrapbook paper and added a scallopped label on the top. The kids enjoyed these and I was really glad to skip the sweets!

Another Valentine's Day Book
Here's another Valentine's Day book. The Biggest Valentine Ever by Steven Kroll.
DH and I weren't crazy about this one but Micaela liked it.

Raspberry Tart Thanks

This is one of the other cards we did this month at Stamp Club. I used the new Raspberry Tart designer paper and the Top Note Die from SU-- love them both! The glittery heart was cut out of chipboard using the Tipsy Heart Sissix die, smooshed (technical term) into the Cameo Coral craft ink and then heat embossed with Iridecent Ice embossing powder. IRL it is evenly glittered, the camera flash kept creating a shadow. The Thanks sentiment is from the Thank You Kindly stamp set by SU. Thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Valentine
I am finally back to stamping! Can you believe January is just about over. Valentine's Day is around the corner. Here is one of the cards we did this month at my stamp club. I just love the pedestal with the cupcakes from the Crazy for Cupcakes stamp set. The polka dotted cupcake frosting and cherries have Dazzling Diamonds but it's hard to see that in the picture. The wide gingham ribbon and the Happy V-day sentiment is from Michael's.

I finished off the card by doing layers on the inside (one of my favorite things to do) . I used an 'ancient' Fiskars heart corner punch that I have probably had for about 12 years to do the hearts in the corners, it worked like a charm and added a nice touch to the inside.

Recipe: Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White cardstocks from SU.
