Glasses Zipper pouch

So my optometrist friend celebrated her one year anniversary.  I stopped by the party on my way home from work.  She sent home some cookies for our daughter.  Aren't these eye glasses cookies adorable!  The cookies match daughters glasses and the zipper pouch gift I gave her.  Total cuteness!!! 

I saw this fabric months back and immediately thought of her because she has a lot of "eyewear" art at her office.  I got lucky and found an "eye" charm for the zipper pull too!  The fabric is from Michael Millers Urbanista collection, called 20/20 Glasses.

Hére Is the mini Quilt I made for @miaquilts in the Rainbow Mini Swap on Instagram.

This was several weeks in the making.  I converted a cross stitch pattern to get the design.  It's an 18x18 pattern, 324 two inch squares and finished off at approx 24x24.  There are many little surprised in it, including owls, cats and tributes to her MSU Spartans and of course Texas.   I am pleased with how it turned out and my partner Maria in Michigan really seemed to like it.
